Rodriguez (13-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) made easy work of Alencar (8-2-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) on the prelims at the Meta APEX and cruised to a unanimous decision. Rodriguez won the fight with a trio of 30-27 scores from the judges.
The bout was notable because of a light malfunction in the first round – on Halloween.
"I'm feeling good. I'm feeling grateful to be here. I'm feeling very happy to be doing what I love. I was so locked in. I didn't even notice about the lights or anything. I was just focused on her. I was trying to put all my attention on her, so I didn't even notice."
"I think everything happens for a reason. I lost (to Ariane Carnelossi in 2024). But now she's not in the UFC, and I'm still here and I'm doing better. I learned my lesson (from the disqualification loss for headbutts). Sometimes I have to fight myself and have to find a good point in between my aggressiveness and my strategy. I think that fight taught me a lot and my mistakes in the past is what makes me today who I am in the cage."
"I feel healthy. I feel good. If the doctors check on me and I'm all healthy, I'm good to go again as soon as possible. I would love to fight three times a year, but my division is pretty packed. I'm always waiting for a call. I'm always ready. I'm always in the gym. Even if they don't call me, I'm always in the gym getting better."
