Michael B. Jordan once again proved his star power with the release of Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" earlier this year. The vampire thriller has earned $350 million and counting at the worldwide box office. Jordan said in aNew York Magazine cover storythat he actively does not post much on social media or talk to the press about his personal life in order to "create a demand" for himself as a movie star. Given the money coming in for "Sinners," it's a strategy that appears to be working. Jordan, who counts Denzel Washington as one of his biggest inspirations, shared with the magazine that Washington actually gave him career advice encouraging him to stay offline as to not risk being overexposed. Jordan to Receive American Cinematheque Award Movie stardom has been what Jordan has been working towards since making the career jump from television to films. The actor appeared in movies like "Hardball" as a kid, but his TV supporting roles on "The Wire" and "Friday Night Lights" are what really made him one to watch. "I was really, really, really unsure of what my career was going to be [12 years ago]," Jordan said. "Am I a TV actor? Where am I going? And I was like, 'Man, I just want an independent film.' I can show what I can do, and I just need to know if I could carry a film or not, if I could be a lead." The script for "Fruitvale Station" ended up making its way to Jordan and a meeting with the film's director, Ryan Coogler, got added to his schedule. The meeting was life-changing: "[Ryan] told me he thought I was a movie star. He thought I was a great actor, and he wanted to show the rest of the world that, and he wanted to make the movie with me." Tomatoes sold in 3 states now labeled deadly by FDA

Tomatoesdistributed in three southern statesare now the subject of a possibly deadly recall, according to the Food and Drug Administration. The recall, firstannounced by the FDA on May 2for potential salmonella contamination, has now been upgraded to the most severe warning the federal agency issues. Williams Farms Repack LLC, based in Lodge, South Carolina, said the affected tomatoes were packaged and sold to wholesalers and distributors between April 23-28 under the name H&C Farms Label, theFDAreported. In a notice published online May 28th, the FDA labeled this a Class I recall − the highest recall risk level issued by the agency, as it can potentially cause serious health complications or lead to death. According to the FDA, freezing and drying may prevent the growth of bacteria, but do not kill salmonella. The bacteria can live for several weeks in dry environments and for several months in wet environments. As of the recall date, no deaths or illnesses had been reported, the FDA said. The affected tomatoes were sold in the following three states: Georgia North Carolina South Carolina The following tomatoes were recalled with the size listed first and lot code listed last: 5x6; R4467 6x6; R4467 and R4470 Combo, 25 pound; R4467 4x4, 2-layer; R4467 4x5, 2-layer; R4467 60-count, 2-layer; R4467 60-count, 18 pounds loose; R4467, R4470 XL, 18 pounds loose; R4467 3 count trays; R4467 Salmonellais an organism which can cause serious and fatal infections in children, the elderly, and other people with weakened immune systems, according to theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention. Most people infected with salmonella start developing symptoms 12 to 72 hours after eating the contaminated product. Diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps are the main symptoms. Most people recover without treatment, but in rare circumstances the infection can require hospitalization, according to the CDC. Pregnant women are also at higher risk of developing an infection from it and should seek medical attention if symptoms arise. Salmonella on rise:More states report illnesses, hospitalizations in salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers The FDA is urging anyone who bought the recalled tomatoes not to eat them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, or they can just discard the affected item. Consumers who ate the affected tomatoes and have symptoms should contact their health care provider to report their symptoms, the FDA said, and receive care. A right-to-die activist questioned for murder after the death of a womanusing a suicide podhas died by assisted suicide. Florian Willet suffered a mental health crisis after he was arrested by Swiss police in September last year, said Philip Nitschke, the inventor of the Sarco suicide capsule. Mr Willet was the director of Last Resort, the Swiss suicide organisation, which was set up to facilitate the use of the Sarco. The 47-year-old German was investigated for aiding and abetting suicide. Prosecutors also investigated whether he had strangled the woman, but that was ruled out before he was released in December after 70 days of pre-trial detention. "Gone was his warm smile and self-confidence. In its place was a man who seemed deeply traumatised by the experience of incarceration and the wrongful accusation of strangulation," said Mr Nitschke, the director ofExit International, the pro euthanasia group. The Australian former physician, who is called "Doctor Death" by his critics, said Mr Willet sought help and was admitted to a psychiatric hospital twice before his death on May 5. Mr Nitschke told the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant that Mr Willet had died in Germany with the help of an unnamed specialised organisation. It is not known how he died. "To describe Florian is to talk of a man who was thoughtful, caring, funny, and friendly. He was an easy person to be around," said Mr Nitschke, who lives in the Netherlands. "But most of all, Florian was kind. Florian was also passionate about a person'sright to choose when to die." Suicide is legal under certain conditions in Switzerland, but the pod had never been used before and there were warnings it would be illegal. Mr Willet was the only person present when a 64-year-old American woman, who has not been named, pressed a button to fill the Sarco pod with nitrogen gas. The woman had suffered from an immune disease. He informed the authorities after her death in a forest in the canton of Schaffhausen but was arrested, along with several others, including a newspaper photographer. They were later released but Mr Willet, a former media spokesman for euthanasia clinic Dignitas, continued to be detained. He had described thefirst death in the controversial Sarco podas "peaceful, fast and dignified". The 3D-printable capsule cost about £550,000 to research and develop in the Netherlands over 12 years. Last Resort has said that future reusable pods could cost about £12,600. "By the age of five I took my own dying by suicide into consideration," Mr Willet said in an interview before his arrest. He revealed his father had died by suicide when he was 14 and claimed he was "completely fine with it." He added: "I was extremely sad because I loved my father. But, I understood immediately my father wanted to do this because he was a rational person, which means that expecting him to remain alive just because I need a father would mean extending his suffering."
