Country Star LeAnn Rimes Cibrian Excitedly Announces 'Secret' She's Been Keeping

LeAnn Rimesis already in the holiday spirit — with a gift for her fans included. The country startook to TikTok on Tuesdayto announce the November release of her latest Christmas album, a "secret" she was waiting to share. "I have been keeping a secret and today I can finally share it with you," she said. "I have a greatest hits Christmas album coming out in November and if you know me, you know the holidays mean so much to me and so does this record." The album, entitled 'Greatest Hits Christmas,' will be comprised of holiday classics like "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree" and songs from holiday Hallmark movie soundtracks including " You and Me and Christmas,"according to the country singer's site. The album will be available on November 7 on CD and vinyl and is already available for preorder. And another surprise? The album will feature two duets, one of which will be withLuke Evans,Rimes announced, calling him one of her "favorite human beings ever." Evans is joining Rimes on the album for the song 'There's No Such Thing' from the musical '32 Hooves' while the other duet on the album will be with singerGavin DeGrawwith the two singing 'Celebrate Me Home.' "Christmas is starting early!" she added. "I love it, I hope you love this album as much as I do." 'Greatest Hits Christmas' will be the 43-year-old country star's fourth Christmas album. Her first holiday album 'What a Wonderful World' was released in 2004 and was followed by 'Today Is Christmas' in 2015 and 'God's Work' in 2022. In 1997 she not only sang on the soundtrack but also starred in Hallmark's 'Holiday in Your Heart' and also sang the whole soundtrack 'It's Christmas Eve' in 2018 on the channel, which she also acted in. Prince George, 12, will age out of the coeducational prep school next summer when he turns 13, with Prince William's alma mater, Eton College,earmarked as the front-runnerfor where he might attend next. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, began at Lambrook when their family moved from London to Windsor in 2022, enrolling as day students at the private school in Berkshire. The trio'sfirst day at Lambrookcame with new photos of the siblings attending a preview day with their parents. As George, Charlotte and Louis set off on a new school year, there's another major change ahead for their family. PEOPLE confirmed in August thatthe Prince and Princess of Wales' family is movingfrom Adelaide Cottage to a new home called Forest Lodge before the end of the year. The move from the four-bedroom cottage to the eight-bedroom residence will be an upgrade, yet keep them within the same Windsor estate. SHER SHAH, Pakistan (AP) —Officials say nearly 300,000people have been evacuated in the past 48 hours from flood-hit areas of Pakistan's Punjab province following the latest flood alerts by India, officials said Wednesday. The evacuations bring the total number of people displaced since last month to 1.3 million. Floodwaters have submerged dozens of villages in Punjab's Muzaffargarh district, after earlier inundating Narowal and Sialkot, both near the border with India. Authorities are also struggling to divert overflowing rivers onto farmlands to protect major cities, as part of one of the largest rescue and relief operations in the history of Punjab, which straddles eastern Pakistan and northwestern India. Thousand of rescuers using boats are taking part in the relief and rescue operations, whilethe military has also been deployedto transport people and animals from inundated villages, said Arfan Ali Kathia, director-general of Punjab's Provincial Disaster Management Authority. A newflood alert was shared with Pakistan by neighboring Indiathrough diplomatic channels early Wednesday, Kathia said. It was the second such alert in 24 hours following heavy rains and water releases from dams in India. Kathia said the Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej rivers are all in high flood following torrential rains and upstream discharges. Rescuers are also using drones to find people stranded on rooftops in the flood-hit areas. Kathia said more than 3.3 million people across 33,000 villages in the province have been affected so far. Damages are still being assessed and all those who lost homes and crops would be compensated by the Punjab government, he said. Landslides and flooding have killed at least 29 people in India's Punjab state, home to more than 30 million people. Tent villages are being set up and food and other essential items are being supplied to the flood-affected people, he said, though many survivors complained about a lack of government aid. There are about 40,000 people in the relief camps, according to the National Disaster Management Authority. It remains unclear where the rest are sheltering. Noor Mohammad, a 54-year-old farmer in Sher Shah village near Muzaffargarh district, said he hasn't received any help. "Frustrated over this days-long situation, I sent my family members to stay with relatives in the nearby area," he said, standing on higher ground overlooking his flooded village. Malik Ramzan, another displaced resident, said he chose to stay near his inundated home rather than enter a relief camp. "There are no liveable facilities in the camps," he said. "Food isn't delivered on time, and we are treated like beggars," he said. However,Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited flood-hit areasin Muzaffargarh on Wednesday, meeting with displaced families at relief camps. Her visit came just hours after India issued the latest cross-border flood alert. Last week's flooding mainly hit districts in Kasur, Bahawalpur and Narowal, where the deluge also submerged theshrine of Guru Nanak, located near the Indian border. However, authorities said the shrine is being reopened for pilgrims after water receded and the building was cleaned and restored to the pre-flood situation. Pakistan began mass evacuations last month after India released water from overflowing dams into low-lying border regions. By Sayed Hassib MAZAR DARA, Afghanistan (Reuters) -Mir Salam Khan mourns the loss of his wife and three children in Afghanistan's mountainous eastern province of Kunar, hit by an earthquake of magnitude 6 that crumbled thousands of homes. "We buried them with wooden planks and plastic sheets so the soil would not fall directly on the bodies," said the 65-year-old resident of the village of Mazar Dara. "That was all we could do." The shallow midnight tremor, Afghanistan's deadliest quake in years, killed more than 1,400 people and destroyed more than 5,000 houses, officials of the Taliban administration have said, but harsh weather and rugged terrain have hampered rescue work. Here the dead are usually wrapped in shrouds and placed in graves topped with cement slabs. With supplies scarce and many destroyed homes, however, survivors said they were forced to improvise, with wood and plastic picked out of the wreckage. "We have never witnessed such an earthquake in history," said Yunus Khan, 45, seated amid the rubble of his mud-brick home that traps two of his children, while three more were among the 12 of his family who died. "All belongings were lost, the children were martyred," he added, surrounded by homes with crumbling walls, their wooden beams sticking out of rubble where children sat silently. "It was such a quake that it gave no one a chance," said Khan. "With one jolt, the entire village was destroyed." Most survivors remain stranded among the ruins, burying their dead in graveyards filling with freshly dug plots for children and adults. Aid workers are just reaching the remote hamlets. A single tent, shared by half a dozen families, sagged in the rain as helicopters circled overhead to ferry the wounded to hospital. "Last night it rained and we had no shelter," Yunus said. "Five or six families are in one tent, there are no supplies. Even the bodies lay out in the rain, waiting to be buried." Farmer and livestock owner Namirullah, 30 joined about 50 neighbours in digging through rubble with their bare hands. "The martyrs are still trapped and the injured are so many," said the volunteer from the nearby village of Chapa Dara. "People have abandoned their homes and are living in cornfields and orchards, terrified as aftershocks come every few minutes." The defence ministry said the Afghan air force moved more than 1,900 people in 155 flights over two days, hundreds of wounded among them, as well as delivering 10,000 kg (22,000 lb)of supplies across the region. Hemmed in by mountains where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, Afghanistan is no stranger to such devastation. A quake in 2022 killed about 1,000 people, and successive shocks in 2023 flattened villages in Herat. Four smaller tremors rattled the country this year. Each new disaster strikes a nation crippled by poverty, war and shrinking aid, with the United Nations estimating that half the population of more than 40 million needed assistance even before Sunday's quake. Two days later, Salam was still waiting for the bodies of his son and daughter to be pulled from the ruins of his home. He and his neighbours used shovels and their hands in an effort made painfully slow without earthmoving machinery. "Two of my children are still under the rubble," he said. "We can do nothing." In a new interview withTMZ Sports, the WWE Hall of Famer, 58, said he's known the pop star, 35, since she "was a little girl." Swift not only babysat his daughters, but also performed at an impromptu and intimate concert at his home after his wife was diagnosed with cancer, he said. The "Shake It Off" singer was very young when she and her family moved to Jarrett's hometown of Hendersonville, Tenn., Jarrett told TMZ. He grew accustomed to seeing the then-rising star who has "the legendary story" of "knocking on labels' doors," which made her stand out in their "small community." She passed away about five months after this, so she was really ill," Jarrett explained. According to Jarrett, a friend of Swift's suggested she stop by his family's home, which was music to his daughters' ears. By then, Swift had already scored her first hit with "Tim McGraw" and her self-titled debut album. "Obviously, like every little girl in America, my daughters were big Taylor fans, and her songs had just kind of broke, but she was a hometown girl," he continued, noting that she was a big deal in Tennessee before the rest of the world caught on. Jarrett remembered their holiday get-together as "an amazing experience." Swift originally arrived without her guitar, but "actually ran back home" to get it after realizing what a difference it would make, "'cause the girls wanted her to sing and play." There were only about seven people at the Jarrett home at the start of the day, but "one thing let to another," and the gathering quickly grew to about 45 people after Swift got her guitar, Jarrett recalled. "By the end of the afternoon, Taylor played about three hours," Jarrett said. Jarrett knew Swift and her family beforehand from seeing them around town. "She kind of bonded with the family, specifically with the girls," Jarrett emotionally told TMZ Sports, which published photos of Swift with Jarrett's family.
