During an appearance onToday With Jenna & Friends,Cummings, 43, candidly joked about her experience with postpartum depression after welcoming her son Henry back in December 2023, sharing that her struggles even inspired the name of her ongoing Big Baby tour. "I named this tour in mom-brain postpartum depression, and I recall nothing why I made the decision," she said to laughs from host Jenna Bush Hager. "I was in a catatonic stupor and it made me laugh," she continued. "No matter how big the baby is, it's huge. I was like, 'I am a big baby. Why can't I walk anymore?'" According to the stand-up, she's feeling happy and content, nearly two years after welcoming her first child. "I am excited to be here now because I feel like I am out of the woods in the postpartum depression thing," she added. "Before you have a kid, you are like, 'Really? Like, is it supposed to be the happiest time of your life? Why are you depressed? Pick a lane,'" Cummings said of themental health conditionexperienced by many new mothers. "When you Google it or go to doctors, they literally say, 'We don't know the cause of postpartum depression.'" "I am not a doctor," she continued. "I have a couple of ideas what could have caused it. Macaulay Culkin says John Candy noticed his 'monster' dad's behavior before anyone else: 'I remember John caring'New Foto - Macaulay Culkin says John Candy noticed his 'monster' dad's behavior before anyone else: 'I remember John caring'

Universal Macaulay Culkin is interviewed in a new documentary about John Candy's life. Culkin said hisUncle Buckcostar noticed his dad's "infamous monster" behavior. "That's the kind of man he was," Culkin said inJohn Candy: I Like Me,which opened TIFF 2025. John Candy's protective instinct forMacaulay Culkinwent beyond just their characters inUncle Buck, as the former child star says he felt genuine fatherly vibes from the late comedy legend as they filmed the 1989John Hughesclassic. Culkin speaks about his time working with Candy in filmmaker-actorColin Hanks' new documentaryJohn Candy: I Like Me, which held its world-premiere screening Thursday as the opening film of the 2025Toronto International Film Festival. In the project, Candy'sPlanes, Trains and AutomobilescostarSteve Martinspeaks at the top a segment aboutUncle Buck, heralding his former friend's talents that he says were impressive enough to inspire Hughes to write the character for Candy. Universal/Kobal/Shutterstock Amid marveling at the fact that he's now several years older than Candy was at the timeUncle Buckwas filmed, Culkin reminisces about the positive experience he had playing Candy's nephew in the movie. "I think that's why that's one of my favorite performances, because I think he put a lot of himself into it," Culkin says in the documentary. He adds that a lot of actors "don't know how or don't like to work with kids" because they're "tricky to work with," but that "John was always really kind, and really good with" him and his on-screen sister,Gaby Hoffman. "He showed a lot of respect. When you're eight years old, you don't really get respect, whether it's in a workplace or just from adults and grown-ups in general. You felt invited in," Culkin says of Candy's demeanor. Culkin later adds that he felt "paternal" vibes from Candy, particularly as he says he dealt with a difficult relationship with his father, Kit Culkin, at the time of his early success in Hollywood. "I think he always had that really great instinct. I think he saw. Listen, even before the wave crested and theHome Alonestuff was happening, it was not hard to see how difficult my father was. It was no secret. He was already a monster," Culkin remembers. "All of a sudden, the fame and the money came, and he became aninfamousmonster. He was already not a good guy. I think John was looking a little side-eyed, like, 'Is everything alright over there? You doing good? Good day? Everything's alright? Everything good at home? Alright.'" Culkin calls that attitude "a testament to the kind of man he was," and that he "was just looking out for" him on set. "It doesn't happen that often. It actually happened less as time went on," Culkin says. "I wish I got more of that in my life. It's important that I remember that. I remember John caring when not a lot of people did." Culkin and his brother,SuccessionstarKieran Culkin, have long spoken about theirallegedly difficult relationshipwith their father. Emma McIntyre/Getty "We didn't want to go with my father," Macaulay toldEsquirein 2020, years after his mother, Patricia Brentrup, filed for custody in 1995of her six minor kids with Kit, whom she earlier separated from. "It's always misconstrued, that I 'emancipated' myself from my parents. I legally took my parents' names off of my trust fund and found an executor, someone who would look over my finances, just in case anyone wanted to stick their f---ing pinkie in the pie. But the next thing you know, the story was that I divorced my parents. I just thought I was doing it cleanly—taking my father's name off, taking my mom's name off, so my opinion is unbiased. And when I did that, the whole thing kinda ended a lot faster." South Korea, Japan and US to hold defence drills on heels of North Korea attending China paradeNew Foto - South Korea, Japan and US to hold defence drills on heels of North Korea attending China parade

SEOUL (Reuters) -South Korea, Japan and the U.S. will conduct annual defensive drills starting on September 15 to upgrade aerial, naval and cyber operational capabilities against North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, South Korea's military said on Friday. The "Freedom Edge" exercise is an annual drill designed to implement regional peace and stability, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement, adding that the drill will be conducted in compliance with international law. The military did not provide more details on the exercise, including the number of troops or types of equipment involved. The exercise follows large-scale 10-day troop mobilisation drills by the South Korean and U.S. militaries last month to assess their defence readiness against North Korean threats, which Pyongyang criticised as proof of the allies' hostile intent against it. The announcement comes after a dramatic appearance by the leaders of North Korea, Russia and China in Beijing this week at a major military parade that showcased China's military might in a show of solidarity against the West. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un concluded his visit by holding a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday, reaffirming his support for China's interests as he seeks to restore close ties with his country's main economic benefactor. Kim also held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Separately, South Korea's defence ministry said on Friday that Japan's defence minister and the chair of the NATO Military Committee will attend the Seoul Defense Dialogue of senior military officials from around the world starting on Monday. Hundreds arrested in immigration raid at Hyundai plant site in GeorgiaNew Foto - Hundreds arrested in immigration raid at Hyundai plant site in Georgia

Federal agents on Sept. 4 arrested hundreds of people at a sprawling battery plant construction site in Georgia in one of theTrump administration's largest immigration raids. Thefederal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announcedagents from the Department of Homeland Security, FBI and the Drug Enforcement Agency, as well as Georgia State Patrol took part in the operation at Hyundai's battery plant in Bryan County, southwest of Savannah. Agents apprehended about 450 people suspected of being in the country illegally, ATF said in an X post. DHS said in an email that Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicial search warrant for an ongoing criminal investigation for alleged unlawful employment practices and other federal crimes. The agency didn't clarify how many agents took part in the operation, nor the charges that those detained face. "We are making many arrests of undocumented individuals," Steven Schrank, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations Atlanta, said at anews conference streamed by local news stations. "We have encountered many lawful employees working here, United States citizens and lawful permanent residents, and they are of course being released." Schrank said there was no injuries or "uses of force" in the operation. He said more details on the raid will be released later. The facility is the HL-GA Battery Company, a battery plant jointly created by LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Motor Group. It is under construction next to the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America at the site that spans nearly 3,000 acres. Hyundai's new $7.6 billion plant, in a rural area near Savannah, has promised totransform the local economy and workforce. The facility is estimated to create around 8,500 jobs by 2030. Hyundai spokesperson Bianca Johnson said in an email there was no impact to the metaplant or its production. The law enforcement action took place at the HL-GA battery plant's construction site, she said. "We are cooperating with law enforcement and are committed to abiding by all labor and immigration regulations." Mary Beth Kennedy, a spokesperson for the HL-GA Battery Company, said in a statement that the company was "cooperating fully with the appropriate authorities regarding activity at our construction site." "To assist their work, we have paused construction," Kennedy said. "We do not have further details at this time." TheSavannah Morning News, part of the USA TODAY Network, was told to exit the facility as state troopers blocked A helicopter hovered over the plant site amid the raid, while state patrol cars and unidentified black vehicles entered the site. Images posted by ATF showed men and women in zip ties being escorted off the site. Georgia State Patrol Capt. Crystal Zion said the department assisted federal officials with "the service of a criminal search warrant in an operation at the Hyundai Metaplant." Zion shared no additional information and directed inquiries to Homeland Security Investigations. The Georgia raid is one of the largest during PresidentDonald Trump's second term, as he promises a sweeping immigration crackdown across the country using multiple federal agencies and even assistance from local and state law enforcement. Raids have taken place across the country on farms and construction sites, as well as restaurants and car washes. During Trump's first term, in August 2019,agents arrested 680 people at seven Mississippi chicken processing plants, in what officials at the time called the largest single-state immigration crackdown in a decade.
