They are the greatest," he shared while accepting the honor. After he gave a sweet shout-out to his wife, Slater concluded his speech by saying, "Having a star on Hollywood Blvd is great, but none of this would have been possible without my family and the love I have today." Just before the birth of his youngest child, the actor opened up to PEOPLE in August 2024 about experiencing fatherhood at this stage in his life. "The whole thing is different. I'm certainly a lot more present and I just love it," Slater said. "I think I was more scared of it the first go around and a little bit more confused, and I was very distracted." He added, "And now, it's all I really think about, and all I really care about, and all I want to be around. I'm happy to be in that situation."
