The drummer's clip comes months afterBuckingham and Fleetwood reunited in the studiofor the first time in seven years. Swedish record producer Carl Falk wrote about the moment on Threads. "Slightly unreal moment to sit with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood to play Lindsey the album we have been working on," Falk said at the time. "And to see his genuine happiness for Mick to finally do his own album and offering to play guitar and to sing on it," the producer continued. "Can't wait to finish this one." The drummer and guitarist's recording session came seven years afterBuckingham was kicked out of the bandin 2018, which also marked the last time the group performed together. He had been working on a solo album when the band was set to tour. The conflict reached a boiling point during a MusiCares performance. "It was all Stevie's doing," Buckingham told PEOPLE in 2021 about his abrupt departure, referring to his former flame. "Stevie basically gave the band an ultimatum that either I had to go or she would go. It would be like [Mick] Jagger saying, "Well, either Keith [Richards] has to go or I'm going to go.' " Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Nicks, however, said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE that what Buckingham claimed wasn't true. "I did not demand he be fired. Frankly, I fired myself. I proactively removed myself from the band and a situation I considered to be toxic to my well-being. I was done. If the band went on without me, so be it." Read the original article onPeople
