Arsenal will face Sunderland on Saturday, Feb. 7 without star duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard.

Sakasuffered a hip injury during warm-upsbefore last weekend's win at Leeds, forcing him out of the lineup in a late scratch.

The 24-year-old then sat out a 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semifinals on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said ahead of the Sunderland game that Saka was improving, but didn't specify an exact timeline for his return.

"His hip is getting much better," Arteta said in his pre-game press conference. "Hopefully very soon he will be with us; very soon."

The same went for Ødegaard, who also missed out against Chelsea with an injury.
