A federal judge on Wednesday threatened officials in President Donald Trump's administration with criminal prosecution for contempt of court. Obama-appointed District Judge James Boasberg accused them of violating his order last month to turn around planes carrying deportees to El Salvador. He warned he could refer the matter for prosecution if the administration does not 'purge' its contempt. He said the administration could do so by returning to U.S. custody those who were sent to an El Salvador prison.
