PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the music legend's forthcoming oral history, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run. Edited by Ted Widmer, the book documents McCartney's time in his famed post-Beatles band, and the cover features plenty of Easter eggs for sharp-eyed fans. The group, which McCartney, 82, and his wife Linda formed in 1971, saw a meteoric rise throughout the decade.
