Parvati Shallow; Donald Trump

Donald Trump wouldn't last long on the island, at least according to Survivor champ Parvati Shallow.

Asked which politicians she thinks would do well on the series, the reality TV star, who has appeared in multiple seasons of the aforementioned competition show, didn't hold back during a visit to Jon Lovett's podcast Lovett or Leave It.

When asked specifically about the president, Shallow replied, "Oh, God. I think he would probably die."

"Without the makeup, yeah, he's not one for roughing it," Lovett offered, to which Shallow replied, "His face would melt off. His skin, is it even real skin? It's like latex. It would just [melt]."

So Trump would be voted off the island, but what about Congresswomen Nancy Pelosi or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Shallow was more bullish on their chances of surviving the intense reality competition.

"Nancy Pelosi, I think she would probably do well. We like a strong, authoritarian lady. Bring the dom energy," Shallow said.

As for AOC, Shallow gushed, "Well, I'm obsessed with her. She would crush. I think she would do great. She's a threat, but sometimes threats can continue to be threats, and still make it all the way to the end and win."

Shallow would know. She first won Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites in 2008, and then again when she represented the USA during the Australia V The World season of Australian Survivor earlier this year. She also placed second on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (2010), sixth on Survivor: Cook Islands (2006), and 15th on Survivor: Winners at War (2020).

Her strategically manipulative style of play on the series earned her the nickname Black Widow, a moniker that also followed her on other reality show appearances, such as on The Traitors 2 and Deal or No Deal Island 2.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Shallow discusses her penchant for using femininity and flirtation as reality TV weapons, and how that nickname cast a shadow on her real-life relationships. She also talks about how her strange childhood informed her choice to compete on Survivor in the first place, how the landscape of reality TV has changed, how she has changed with it, and more.
