Fans of Jimmy Kimmel were left shocked after Kim Kardashian made a "wild" admission about OJ Simpson.
The Kardashians star, 45, revealed during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, October 15, that as a teenager, she "spied" on the late football player while he was on trial. Simpson was charged with the June 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, who were both stabebd to death outside her home in Los Angeles.
In October 1995, a jury in Los Angeles acquitted Simpson of the criminal charges - but the victims' families later filed a civil lawsuit. In 1997, a civil jury found Simpson liable for the wrongful deaths, ordering him to pay $33.5 million in damages. Kim's father, Robert Kardashian, was friends with Simpson and was part of the defense team that represented him during the trial.

While talking to comedian and TV host Jimmy, 58, Kim said that she saw the coverage of the case first-hand, both on TV and in court. She admitted that while Simpson stayed with her dad during the trial, sleeping in her sister Khloe Kardashian's bedroom, she once went through the football star's bag as she felt invested in the case and wanted to do her own investigation.
The Kardashians star shared the anecdote on the show
"I just was so into it, and I just saw everything from behind the scenes," Kim told Jimmy. "I remember, after it had all happened, OJ had come to stay with my dad at the house. He had this Louis Vuitton luggage and brought it into the house.
"And I'm like seeing what's going on the news, but I see it in real life at my house, so I'm like, 'I'm gonna go play investigator, and I want to go through his luggage and see if I can find anything!'"
However, Kim admitted that after going through the luggage, closing it and leaving in her sister's room, she became worried as she went downstairs and saw a TV report saying that investigators wanted to seize Simpson's bags. The Skims founder told the comedian, "I'm like, 'Oh my God, my fingerprints are all over it!'"
"And so, it made me realize that people could be involved that aren't involved, and I need to help them," Kim said, referring to her interest in the law. However, Jimmy joked to the reality TV star, "You could have been in prison right now for tampering with the evidence." And she replied, "Yeah."

After the official account of Jimmy Kimmel Live! shared Kim's comments on Instagram, many fans revealed their surprise. One said, "This is wild!" Another said, "Love that story lol." A third added, "She's unserious in the best way."
However, someone else said, "Not funny about the O.J. Luggage." A viewer wrote, "No one cares if the luggage was LV. Why not just say luggage... oh wait.."
Years ago, Kim revealed that her father had a secret hidden closet that was filled to the brim with Simpson evidence. She told Vogue in 2019, "On the weekends they used our home as an office, with Johnnie Cochran and Bob Shapiro.
"My dad had a library, and when you pushed on this wall there was this whole hidden closet room, with all of his OJ evidence books. On weekends I would always snoop and look through. I was really nosy about the forensics."
