“I haven’t talked to her since,” the 49-year-old actor told Andy Cohen during an October 14 SiriusXM interview, referring to their divorce, which was finalized in 2024. When Cohen asked if his explosive new memoir, Bloodlines, is a “response” to that, Manganiello denied it.
“No,” he said. “This book is me telling my story in a way that I tried to be as graceful as possible. And I understand that there are things being printed that make it seem like it’s not graceful, taken out of context.”
The Magic Mike actor continued, “And it gets off message from the message of the book, which is trying to help people out there that are suffering in silence of all of these autoimmune issues and watching their family members struggle and feel like they can’t talk about it or they’re too embarrassed to talk about it or the conversation of generational trauma… I want to be talking about that, obviously.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Manganiello reminisced about the early days of their relationship. “I sometimes see pictures of the two of us when we first got together, and it’s heartbreaking when you look at these two people with life ahead of them,” he said. “But for us, we didn’t know what was ahead.”
In the book, he wrote candidly about their marriage and what led to its end. According toPeople, he revealed that his autoimmune disease played a major role, saying that their relationship had “become devoid of any emotionality whatsoever.” He also claimed that the Modern Family star, 54, denied him affection, even when he asked.

Vergara seemingly responded to her ex-husband’s claims with a cryptic Instagram Stories post about narcissists. She also reposted a story shared by Tom Brady that read: “The ability to laugh at oneself is probably the highest form of intelligence. The inability to laugh at oneself is a sure sign you’re dealing with an idiot.”
