Taylor Swift was joined by WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark as she watched her husband Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face the Los Angeles Chargers.
You never know who you're going to see at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
The usual suspects, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, are obviously on the field. However, when it comes to the Chiefs, most of the intrigue is about who happens to be sitting a suite. Taylor Swift is a given at this point, especially after her marriage to Kelce. Who is with Swift though? Now that's a little more interesting.
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark was among those hanging out in the suite with Swift in Week 6.
Check out the photos:
Clark is a known Chiefs, and Swift, fan.
The 24-year-old saw her WNBA season come to an end in the first round of the playoffs against the Las Vegas Aces. She made an appearance on ESPN's "College Gameday" as the guest picker in early October and has now been spotted in Kansas City.
Clark was one of the first to hop on the "Kelce and Swift marriage" bandwagon, going as far as to predict that outcome in a TikTok video posted to the Big Ten Network page in October 2023.
Is Caitlin Clark a Chiefs fan?
Clark is a well-known lifelong Chiefs fan.
She grew up as a fan of the team, explaining on the "New Heights" podcast that the Chiefs are the closest team to Des Moines, Iowa, where she grew up. Clark also noted that she has family that lives in Kansas City and her brother's favorite player growing up was Tony Gonzalez.
Clark also had a photo of her dressed up in Chiefs gear when she was younger.
In other words, the 24-year-old isn't a bandwagon fan.
Taylor Swift celebrates Kelce catch
Swift enjoyed a big catch-and-run from Kelce in the second quarter. Here's a look at her celebration in the suite:
Chiefs vs. Chargers final score
The Chiefs improved to 5-0 with a 22-6 win over the winless Chargers, who dropped to 0-6.
Kansas City scored 19 points in the first half and it was able to coast the rest of the way against an L.A. offense that can't move the ball.
Next up for the Chiefs is a "Sunday Night Football" clash with the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks in Seattle. Those two will wrap up the Sunday slate of Week 7 with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET.
Travis Kelce stats
Catches (Targets): 4 (5)
Receiving yards: 53
Touchdowns: 0
Kelce didn't have to do much in Week 6 and that is evidenced by his fairly pedestrian box score. The tight end's biggest play came on a 24-yard catch-and-run in the second qua
