New security footage of Kelly Clarkson at the Brooklyn store, Art of Play, sparked questions. According to a recent report, fans seemed enraged online after footage from the Brooklyn store showed the singer’s interaction with the shop owner. Although it didn’t include audio, Clarkson’s gesticulating towards the man drew attention.
However, experts analyzed the video and raised eyebrows at the celebrity’s “Karen” behavior. Meanwhile, fans didn’t want to make assumptions without the audio.

Independent journalist Pablo Torre analyzed Kelly Clarkson’s behavior in security footage from the Art of Play store in Brooklyn. The video showed the singer inside the shop in a yellow loose T-shirt, baggy jeans, and a cap, carrying a backpack. She checked items on a shelf by picking them up one by one. Then, the podcaster noted that the celebrity stood in front of “Molly the Bird” at 2.52 p.m., three minutes after entering the store.
Clarkson further began talking with the shopkeeper, probably asking about the rare item. After a brief discussion, the “Stronger” hitmaker and the man went in different directions. Then, another angle of the footage showed her putting a few items back in place and leaving. But before her exit, she seemed to gesture towards the owner.
Furthermore, the third angle of the footage from outside the store showed Clarkson taking out her phone as soon as she was out. Torre then noted that the talk show host’s explosive tweet was sent at 3.09 p.m. On October 11, Clarkson blasted the Art of Play store and the shopkeeper on X. She accused him of treating her “like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman.”
Meanwhile, the security footage update has enraged fans. They claimed that the missing audio didn’t clarify anything and thus no conclusion should be made. A user tweeted, “Without audio this is fairly useless.” Another wrote, “They cut out 14:52:15-14:52:53. Why??? Release the uncut version if you want to be transparent. But they didn’t.”
