Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on October 12.

The couple married in 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said “I do” just five months prior.

To mark their anniversary, Eugenie shared a never-before-seen video of Jack holding their newborn daughter Adelaide, who was born on August 3.

To mark her eighth wedding anniversary with husband Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie shared a new video on Instagram that also doubled as a never-before-seen clip of their daughter, Adelaide.

In the snippet—set to the tune of “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles—Jack sweetly holds baby Adelaide in his arms, patting her soothingly on the back. “8 years married my love🥳,” Eugenie captioned the clip on October 12.

“What you can’t hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way…so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3,” Eugenie continued. “Couldn’t have wished for a better partner♥️♥️♥️ .”

Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank was born on August 3 in Lisbon, Portugal, where the Brooksbanks live part-time. She is 15th in the British line of succession, and has two older brothers, August, 5, and Ernest, 3.

Eugenie and Jack married on October 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in front of roughly 800 guests. Outside of the royal family, many celebrities attended, from Demi Moore to Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, and Ricky Martin.

For her wedding, Eugenie wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara atop her head, loaned to her by her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. She accessorized with diamond and emerald earrings given to her by her groom as a wedding present.

Eugenie’s custom long-sleeved wedding dress was created by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, and featured a long train and a V-shaped back—designed specifically to show off Eugenie’s scar from a surgery she had at 12 years old to correct her scoliosis.

“I had always wanted a low back—part of it was showing my scar, and I believe scars tell a story about your past and your future, and it’s a way of getting rid of a taboo,” she said in an audio guide for the exhibit “A Royal Wedding: HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank” at Windsor Castle (per Hello!).

“For me, it’s a way of communicating with people who are going through either similar situations with scoliosis or having a scar of their own that they are trying to deal with,” Eugenie added.

Eugenie and Jack met on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010 and dated for seven years before getting engaged while on vacation in Nicaragua. Their engagement was announced on January 22, 2018, nine months before they tied the knot. In an interview with BBC 1, Jack said he proposed to Eugenie without an engagement ring because he “didn’t want to do anything until Eugenie had signed off on it.” When they got back from their trip, they designed the ring together.

Eugenie said Jack’s proposal was a “complete surprise,” adding that she “was over the moon.”

“It was the perfect moment,” she told BBC 1. “We couldn’t be happier.”

And speaking of their daughter Adelaide, her first name has a sentimental connection to Eugenie and Jack’s wedding day. At the couple’s wedding reception, Eugenie wore two diamond wheat-ear brooches in her hair that had originally been commissioned by King William IV for his wife, Queen Adelaide, The Daily Mail reported. For the reception, Eugenie changed into a blush dress by Zac Posen.
