To help him through the grieving process, his humans decided to get him a little sister, Mabel. Throughout Mabel’s puppyhood, Chewy has been right by her side, guiding her along the way.
So it was no surprise that when Mabel took her first jump into the lake, she leapt straight toward Chewy, who was waiting patiently for her on a floatie. Wearing a dog vest for safety, Mabel took several tentative steps before she finally mustered the courage to leap. Once she did, the two Newfoundlands cuddled together to watch the sunset over the lake. Even though Mabel was secure in her vest, that didn’t stop Chewy from lying right by her side for extra protection. The heartwarming clip of Mabel’s big leap quickly made its way around social media, with fans tuning in to watch the sweet sibling moment unfold.
