Meghan Markle's relationship with a renowned fashion designer reportedly soured following an awkward mix-up over borrowed gowns, leading to an explosive confrontation that allegedly ended with the Duchess declaring she'd never don his creations again.

Roland Mouret, the celebrated French designer whose high-end pieces have adorned British royals like Princess Catherine alongside celebrities including Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian, has revealed details of their fall-out in his candid new memoir, describing how an inadvertent error by a staff member triggered a dramatic dispute.

According to excerpts from his book published by the Daily Mail, the conflict erupted after a Mouret team member accidentally contacted Princess Catherine's Kensington Palace office, requesting the return of garments that had been loaned to Meghan. The Duchess reportedly telephoned the designer directly to voice her displeasure, arguing the blunder had embarrassed her and declaring she could no longer appear in public wearing his clothes. This comes after Meghan Markle enjoys 'act of surprise' for 'attention' after outing with Harry.

The disclosures provide intriguing insight into Meghan's connection with a designer who has built a decades-long career dressing some of the world's most prominent figures. What makes the reported rift especially unexpected is that the two had maintained a strong personal bond well before Meghan, 45, wed Prince Harry, 42.

In his upcoming memoir, I Am Roland Mouret: The Butcher's Boy Who Dressed the World, the renowned designer recounts the uncomfortable exchange that allegedly followed a staff member's error.

He wrote, "Meghan and Harry's relationship became public. Then the same team member who had sent the clothes for Meghan decided, in an honest attempt to be efficient, to call Kate's stylist at the palace and ask for Meghan's dresses to be returned."

He continued, "Meghan was furious and called me. 'You don't realize what you've done! You've embarrassed me.'"

Mouret claims Meghan rejected his apology, telling him, "You know now I can never wear your clothes again."

The designer stops short of pinpointing exactly when the incident occurred, though he situates it after Meghan and Harry's romance went public and before the couple's departure from royal duties in 2020.

Addressing the falling out, Mouret wrote, "Meghan's decision not to wear my clothes was hers, not the palace's, not anybody else's. I don't think anyone else cared."

He further noted, "I didn't see the logic of that, but I didn't question it."

Mouret is no newcomer to dressing royals and Hollywood's elite, having cultivated a global reputation for his figure-enhancing silhouettes, architectural tailoring, and exquisitely crafted eveningwear. The French designer is perhaps best recognized for his iconic Galaxy dress, which took the fashion world by storm in the 2000s.

His high-end creations don't come cheap, with some gowns surpassing $1,000 and couture pieces commanding several times that figure. His prestigious client roster includes Victoria Beckham and Princess Catherine, who has worn his creations on numerous occasions, most notably a bold monochrome off-the-shoulder dress at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in 2022.

Mouret, who has been creating garments for Catherine since 2011, shares a fascinating insight about the Princess of Wales in his autobiography.

He observes, "Many want to be famous, but if Kate could do everything she does, and be married to the man she is married to, without the fame, you suspect she would choose it."

His established relationships with several of fashion's most powerful figures lend significant weight to his account of the purported conflict with Meghan.

Their friendship allegedly began with an unexpected meeting in Turkey in 2015, when Meghan was a guest at a hotel and on her way to the Soho House spa, where she was dressed in a robe.

Describing their unconventional first encounter, Mouret recounted, "I said: 'You don't know me, but you do know me in a way. I am Roland Mouret.'"

He added, "She screamed and laughed, and we chatted for a few moments. I told her that Suits was being very good to me", referencing the television drama in which Meghan appeared and whose costume department had featured his designs.

The two agreed to reconnect at an evening gathering and allegedly grew close enough for Meghan to share details of her developing romance with Prince Harry with the designer.

Mouret alleges their friendship soured after Meghan wore what he characterized as a "cheap high street copy" of one of his designs, leading him to message her, calling her "ridiculous."

Even though the designer claims Meghan pledged to boycott his designs permanently, the Duchess was spotted wearing one of his dresses in an Instagram promotion for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, earlier this year.

Joe Manganiello Says Ben Affleck’s Scrapped Batman Film Would Have Seen Deathstroke ‘Dismantle Batman’s Entire Life’ and Kill Commissioner Gordon

Joe Manganiello , who was set to reprise the role of Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s scrapped Batman film, is telling all about what would have happened had the superhero film made it to theaters.

In his new memoir “Bloodlines,” published on Tuesday, the actor wrote that Affleck, who was attached as the writer, director, producer and star, planned to make the film “a superhero version of David Fincher’s ‘The Game’” in which Deathstroke would “dismantle Batman’s entire life” after being made to think the Caped Crusader killed his son (via EW ). Manganiello, who first played Deathstroke, a DC supervillain, briefly in 2017’s “Justice League,” wrote that murdering Commissioner Gordon, holding Alfred Pennyworth hostage and breaking into the Batcave would all be a part of Deathstroke’s revenge plan, and that the film would have included a fight in which “Deathstroke would nearly kill both Batman and Batgirl before they would both escape via an aboveground train.” Popular on Variety

According to the “Magic Mike” actor, the film would have concluded with a “climactic one-on-one showdown through the streets of Gotham.” “It sounded good to me,” Manganiello wrote. “I told Ben how great I thought his films were, especially ‘The Town,’ and how I was really looking forward to seeing his Best Picture version of a Batman movie.” He went on to explain that Affleck’s roles on set sounded like “a lot” for a single person, to which the “Argo” director responded: “Yeah, I know…But don’t worry, you’re in good hands. You’re in good hands, man.”

Ultimately, the film never came out. Recently, Ben Affleck appeared on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast and called the “ Justice League ” reshoots the “low point of my career.”

“The experience of ‘Justice League’ was so negative for lots of different reasons, some of which have to do with where I was at personally and some of which had to do with the tragedy that happened at that time,” Affleck said. “I saw how not to make a movie like that, which is where the studio is at odds with the filmmaker. You are really making a mistake. I was really glad and gratified that Zack got to release [his version via the Snyder Cut]. That was fucking great. I was really happy for him. That was shitty, him being taken off that movie and the reshoots that we did. If you want the low point of my career, it was that.”

A Virginia man faces charges in connection with his infant son's death after reportedly confessing during a phone conversation that he shook his child while yelling at him because he "just wanted him to be quiet." The Hopewell Police Department announced that 22 year old Nathan Travis-Nunnally was charged with felony homicide, child abuse, and aggravated malicious wounding.

During his preliminary hearing on Thursday, October 15, prosecutors presented a cellphone recording in which Travis-Nunnally acknowledged shaking his child, according to CBS affiliate WTVR.

The incident unfolded on June 14 when police responded to a call around 10:40 a. m. regarding an unresponsive child on the 4900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard in Hopewell, approximately 20 miles south of Richmond.

Both the Hopewell Police Department and Hopewell Fire Department responded to the scene. When emergency personnel arrived at the home, they found an unresponsive five-month-old boy and immediately began treatment.

After first responders provided care, they transported him to the hospital "for a life-threatening injury." According to WTVR, the infant, identified as Skottie, was first brought to TriCities Hospital before being airlifted to Chippenham Hospital.

He was ultimately placed in the ICU at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR), but tragically passed away just five days after emergency services found him.

Authorities said the injuries were consistent with shaken baby syndrome. Travis-Nunnally was taken into custody in connection with baby Skottie's death and held at the Riverside Regional Jail.

During the recorded call played in court on Thursday, the defendant could be heard telling the child's uncle, "I just wanted him to be quiet,".

"I started screaming at him. I picked him up, and then I shook him," he was heard saying.

Authorities also alleged that Travis-Nunnally went on to say that he "told him to shut the f- up" because the boy was agitated, before describing how his son suddenly went limp, at which point he called 911.

At the time of the alleged incident, the child's mother was serving a weekend jail sentence, according to WTVR. She told the outlet that although she had previously been engaged to Travis-Nunnally, the two had since separated.

"I mean, Skottie was my heart, my soul, everything to me," the mother, Sarina Aldrich, told WTVR. "Seeing it all at once and just reliving it in that moment is hard. It's hard for all of us, all the family."

The case and its associated charges are set to be reviewed by a grand jury in December.

Kylie, a cat owner, thought it would be “cruel” to keep her cat Obi inside so she let him roam free— but she now regrets her decision after a fight with another feline nearly cost him an eye

Kylie said the injury resulted in over $1,000 in vet bills and weeks of intensive treatment

She has since installed an enclosed outdoor “catio” for her three cats, allowing them to safely enjoy the outdoors while giving her peace of mind

A cat owner is warning others about the dangers of letting their pets wander freely after her beloved feline nearly lost an eye.

Kylie, of New South Wales, Australia, had always kept her cats indoors, according to nine.com.au. However, she said she made an exception when she took in Obi, a 6-year-old cat that previously belonged to a neighbor.

She said the feline was used to being an indoor/outdoor cat and was able to explore the neighborhood.

“In my mind I’m like, ‘Oh well, he doesn’t go far, and he’s used to it, and it’d be really cruel and mean if I just kept him in the backyard all day because he’s not used to it, and he’s six years old,’ ” she said.

But her perspective changed dramatically when Obi was injured during a confrontation with another cat.

The encounter left him with a serious scratch on his eye that required specialist veterinary care and nearly cost him his vision.

According to Kylie, treating the injury resulted in over $1,000 in veterinary expenses, along with hundreds more for medications.

Obi’s recovery also required a demanding treatment schedule, including multiple types of eye drops administered several times each day.

“The poor darling … He was so good, but to have to put him through what he went through ... 20 drops a day for a week or two, and then it got better, so we could back it off a bit,” Kylie told the outlet.

The cat also needed follow-up appointments with an ophthalmologist every seven days for approximately three weeks.

For Kylie, who had to rearrange her work schedule to accommodate the appointments, the experience was both emotionally and financially draining.

“So then having to take time off work, which of course I don’t mind, but it’s bloody stressful,” she recalled. “I’m like, Jesus Christ, [letting him roam is] not worth it ... this cat, he doesn’t deserve this.”

Obi’s experience is an example of the dangers facing cats that are allowed to wander outside without supervision.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in New South Wales (RSPCA NSW) has been encouraging pet owners to reconsider allowing their cats to roam through its Keeping Cats Safe at Home campaign.

According to Dr. Gemma Ma, the society’s campaign manager, Kylie’s experience is not unique, adding that many cat owners don’t fully appreciate the dangers of letting their cats roam free until a traumatic incident occurs.

“We find most of the time when people have changed their mind it’s because something really bad has happened,” Ma told nine.com.au, citing incidents involving cars, broken bones and expensive veterinary treatments.

However, the organization says cat owners don’t have to eliminate outdoor time entirely to protect their pets. Instead, it recommends supervised outdoor activities, secure fencing and enclosed spaces that allow cats to enjoy fresh air without freely accessing the neighborhood.

That’s the approach Kylie ultimately adopted.

Following Obi’s injury, she installed a “catio” — an enclosed outdoor space designed specifically for cats — that allows Obi and her two other cats to spend time outside safely.

The change has been a success.

“That really helped the transition enormously because my three cats — every morning now — we have our routine, I get up, they get up, I feed them, and then I walk to the front room,” she told nine.com.au.

“As I’m walking in the front room, they all converge and sit at the front sliding door because they’re like, ‘Okay, let’s go out now! Yay!’ “ she added. “They love it so much, and they’re content. They’re happy, they’re calm — everything. It made a massive difference.”

And after the ordeal with Obi, the new setup has provided Kylie with some much-needed peace of mind.

“I have a calmer heart,” she said.

‘Capturing Bigfoot’ Review: An Astounding Documentary Uncovers the Truth

"Capturing Bigfoot" is an amazing documentary about the legend of Bigfoot — about how it was born, how it took hold, and how that iconic piece of film footage came to be. It’s a documentary that answers all the questions and solves all the mysteries. Unlike your typical film about UFOs, it doesn’t leave you with that vague feeling of "The truth is still out there, and I’m not sure what it is." "Capturing Bigfoot" shows you the truth, but what it really shows you is what that truth says about us, a society that went down the rabbit hole of wanting to believe and now, increasingly, lives there.
