Well, it’s that time of year again when every pet parent starts looking for the perfect Halloween costume for their furry friends, and all the pups wish they could hide away until the season passes. My dogs are such good sports and will wear whatever I put on them, but I definitely think they feel a lot like the pup in this TikTok video.

Mostly, the Goldendoodle is a happy guy who deeply loves his humans. However, every year, as the season changes and his mom starts scouring online stores for his next costume, he probably wishes he could find a closet to hide in until November.

His mom posted a hilarious video showcasing his adorable costumes, and it’s clear that if Mostly could roll his human-like eyes, he would. In recent years, the Goldendoodle has been dressed as a chef, a football player, and a few cartoon characters. Although he’s the cutest pup on the planet, he’s definitely wishing he could say exactly what the video’s voiceover says!

Mostly’s mom puts careful thought into his costume each year, and something tells me that now that there’s a bucket full of doggie dress-up clothes, he likely wears some of those costumes more than once in October.

How To Pick the Best Costume for Your Dog

There are several things to consider when choosing the best costume for your four-legged friend.

Measure for a proper fit. It’s important to get your dog the right-size costume for their body type. An ill-fitting outfit could make them uncomfortable, restrict movement, or cause injury.

Ensure they have a full range of motion. Keep your pup’s activity level in mind and make sure their new attire allows them to sit, stand, run, and jump comfortably.

Make sure the costume doesn’t block their vision or hearing. Also, make sure it doesn’t restrict their breathing or prevent their mouths from opening freely.

Lastly, double-check that the material is animal-safe, non-toxic, breathable, and lightweight to keep your favorite four-legged friend comfortable all day. You may also want to avoid small buttons, beads, or anything that dangles from the fabric.
