Journey drummer Deen Castronovo experienced a medical emergency during the band’s concert in Tulsa, Okla., on Thursday.

After the group performed its first two songs, Castronovo was helped off the stage, according to Tulsa World. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressed the crowd, asking them for patience as they waited for an update.

“It’s an unfortunate situation,” he said. “We’re very sorry. We’re hoping it’s only a delay, but please. I’m sorry. Don’t worry. Have your prayers ready. Have your prayers ready for Deen Castronovo, everybody. Thank you.”

It’s unclear what kind of medical emergency Castronovo suffered. Entertainment Weekly reached out to representatives for Journey for comment. Guitarist Neal Schon told the crowd on Thursday that the drummer was taken to the hospital, per Tulsa World.

The show went on, with Castronovo’s drum technician Steve Toomey stepping in to assist for the rest of the concert. The rest of the band members praised Toomey, who they said “saved the night.”

“We love you all. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience,” Schon said to the audience during the concert.
