Sometimes while doomscrolling online, you come across something so unique that it makes you stop and figure out exactly what you’re looking at. That’s how we felt when we spotted @paulhooveshorsecrew’s video of their horse, Wickett.
We must not have been the only ones, either, because they received so many questions about their Peacock Leopard Appaloosa that they dedicated an entire video to explaining his unusual coat. At first, we thought someone might have hand-painted the spots on him, but as it turns out, his coat is simply nature’s way of creating a work of art that looks almost too beautiful to be real!
Some commenters left name suggestions about what else Wickett could’ve been named. One viewer said, “I would’ve called him Root Beer,” while another added, “His name should be Petri, short for Petri dish.”

Commenters Think His Remarkable Coat Looks Hand-Painted
People had so much to say about the horse’s coat pattern. One commenter joked, “This horse has a crystalline glaze and was slow-cooled in the kiln perfectly.” @jeannette martin added, “I’m lichen the pattern. LOL!”
@this_welder_guy pointed out, “He’s got barnacles.” @alex_hikerman added, “The cells are supposed to be on the inside…”
Commenter @viviannacortesbls admitted, “The pattern is triggering my trypophobia.” We laughed when another one said, “He is making me itchy, lol!”
With markings this spectacular, he looks more like a work of art than a real horse!
